This Japanese tech news site) reports that Japan’s largest cell phone / mobile phone game site, called Moba-gee (moba for mobile and gee for game), has surpassed 10,000,000 members.
Considering that Japan’s population was calculated as 127,767,994, it sounds like there are multiple memberships going on. I’m not sure how they are monetizing the site, but if you’ve got an audience of a couple of million coming back regularly, you’ve got something to work with.
The company the runs the site is called DeNA (pronounced like DNA) just in case anyone’s interested.
