Some Other Japan News Blogs Covering the Earthquake Tohoku

A few other blogs have been doing a great job of taking to task the sensationalist mainstream English language media, but also being straight about the information available.

I just wanted to provide links to some other blogs definitely worth taking a look at for information.

Japan Probe’s latest post: “New York Times Quietly Edits Article About Fukushima Evacuation” shows why the NYT may not be worth paying a whole lot of money to read.

Hanlon’s Razor’s latest provides useful information for people who are not going to be so quick to give up on Japan… jobs are available in Tokyo to replace the non-Japanese that jumped ship.

And I’m looking forward to some political analysis from the Big in Japan Blog out of Okinawa. I think a lot of politicians are chomping at the bit for it to be an appropriate time to call a no confidence vote and kick Kan to the curb.

  1. I do actually need to write on the story regarding Kan that broke the morning of the earthquake. That national disaster may have just extended his tenure as PM.

  2. Looking forward to the article, Dave. I selfishly hope that you start finding more time to work on the blog, just for the well thought out stories.

Mr. S- Also, thanks for the links. I don’t read nearly as much Japanese blogging in English as I probably should so I’ll be sure to check these out.
