Hello Kitty and Nezumi Sempai
OK, if you don’t live in Japan and watch a lot of tv you probably have no idea what I’m talking about.
If you don’t watch a lot of tv but know some Japanese words you can see the humor in Hello Kitty (a cat) being grouped in with Nezumi Sempai (nezumi meaning mouse).
For the record… this is Nezume Sempai.
He’s a singer who just made his big break in 2008 singing an enka type song in which the refrain is “Po po po po po po po po”. You’ll hear it in the video below.
An absolutely brilliant used car dealer called U-Pohs decided to take Nezumi Sempai’s song and have Hello Kitty rock out to it. The only thing that seems to have any connection is the PO in U-Pohs and the Po in the song.
Hello Kitty has no connection other than just rocking out.
Here’s the video… you gotta love the James Brown like exhausted collapse and subsequent rocking comeback.
