Japanese Train Overly-Efficiency After Fatal Accident?

A woman was hit and killed on the Keikyu Line (Keihin Electric Express Railway) at the Kanazawa Hakkei Number 4 Crossing at about 11:25am on the October 12th, 2010. She was an unemployed 60 year old woman who lives in the area.

Sadly, these accidents happen too often in Japan (even 1 being too often). The surprising thing about this particular incident is that train service resumed 7 MINUTES LATER.

I am not sure what the process is, but one would think that it would take more than 7 minutes after an accident to take care of whatever investigation and other work is necessary.

It is possible that another train on another track was put into service for continuity (in just 7 minutes), but the articles I’ve seen seem to imply that there was very little interruption in service, and that only approximately 1,000 riders were affected.
