Japanese Movie Trailer – Gantz Live Action Movie

A live action version of the popular manga and anime Gantz has been made and stars some of Japanese most popular young actors – Kazunori Ninomiya and Kennichi Matsuyama (known as Matsu-Ken). Fans of Japanese films may know Kennichi Matsuyama best for his portrayal of L in the Death Note series.

  1. Wow, thats great and weird at the same time. The manga is so graphic (in many different ways) i wonder if theres going to be alot of cut scenes, because this can be easily be rated ‘R’.

  2. The review I linked to above didn’t give it a very good rating, so maybe this might be a rare case of a movie that could benefit from a Hollywood reimagining. The story is certainly weird and interesting enough to attract someone like Zac Snyder… maybe.

    That’s just me looking forward to Sucker Punch and Superman though.
