Dancing Japanese Girl Idol Robot Video

Manufacturing robot Japanese idols that can dance could be the secret to solving a lot of the social problems in Japan… or maybe not.

Comments on 2CH were mixed. Some of the “otaku” population thought this was amazing and a great step forward, others thought that this was c0mpletely eerie and weird. Still others, true to form, wondered why they didn’t choose to put the robot in a maid outfit.

Her(?) name is HRP-4C Mimu (or Meme perhaps). She sings using Vocaloid, and the name “Mimu” uses the Kanji meaning “future” and “dream”.

HRP-4C can work for up to 20 minutes on battery power and houses a Pentium M 1.6 GHz processor.
