It seems that Hitoshi Matsumoto was not as forthcoming as he could have been in his press conference yesterday when he described his new bride as “an everyday person”.
She is actually a 26 year old (19 years his junior) former tv announcer and television personality named Rin Ihara pictured below. Their baby is due this October.
Weird information of the day is the list of her qualifications including Level 2 Flower Designing Proficiency, Medical Secretary Qualification, and an impressive Kendo Level 1
This new information makes me reconsider comments on my original post about Hitoshi Matsumoto – Rin Ihara marriage, and think that maybe Dave from the Okinawa News Diving and Cars Blog Big in Japan. Maybe this WILL end in a few years in divorce… Matsumoto has always been known as a playboy.
The girl looks like a more mature version of Mao Asada. Maybe when he called her an everyday person he just meant “not as famous as me”.
I still have to hope it works out though… or that some good comedy comes of it because I’m a fan of Downtown.
